Healthy Mint Chocolate Smoothie

Happy Saturday everyone! A mint chocolate smoothie sounds goooooood right about now. I was in the McDonald’s drive thru a couple days ago and saw the Shamrock Shake is now out. I was looking up the calories on it and almost died by how much sugar was in it lol. So today I’m going to make a “healthier” version of it.

How I make the smoothie!
1 cup oat milk
2 frozen bananas
A large handful of spinach
10-12 mint leaves
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 or 2 Tablespoons cacao nibs (or chocolate chips)

-I add mint extract cause it gives the smoothie a nice fresh minty flavor! The peppermint extract gives it a stronger minty flavor.
-Peppermint extract is pretty strong so it’s best to add a little amount at a time and add more if you need some.
-Not a banana fan? You can always sub it with avocados.
1.) First, blend the oat milk, spinach, mint leaves, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract together. You want to make sure the spinach is completely blended.
2.) Next blend in the 2 frozen bananas.
3.) Then add the cacao nibs and don’t blend for too long if you still want a crunchy texture. Blend it until the cacao nibs are well combined and distributed in the smoothie.
4.) Pour the smoothie in a glass & top it off with a mint leaf and some extra cacao nibs if you want! 5.) Enjoy!

Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video. It’s been real!
