Bag Of Hope! Give A Gift To The Homeless

This Christmas I wanted to do something a little different. I was on Pinterest looking for ideas on ways I can help others even if it’s something small. I spent about 120 on this gift.  I made 10 bags in total..5 for men and 5 for woman. I mostly bought the essentials of what a person with little to nothing may need. Remember, it doesn’t have to be Christmas or a certain time that you have to do this. The people who are receiving this gift will use it regardless of when they may get it. There doesn’t need to be a reason as to why you want to make gift bags. You should never feel pressured or obligated to give anyone anything, you should do it on your own terms. The feeling of giving someone something is the best prize of all. Knowing you put your love & time into a bag and giving it to someone who could really use it is so special to me. I think people often forget that helping someone in need is not only a prize to them but to you as well. Give to give and not to receive.

Walmart had most of the items I was looking for. I also went to a grocery store to buy the final things for the bag. There were travel bags for men and ladies and in each bag it contained deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, and mouthwash. For men it also contained shaving cream. I also bought a pack of razors of 10 for both men & girls to go in each bag.
Decorating the bags were fun! I wrote “Bag Of Hope” on each bag and my grandma and mom helped me put items in each bag. We also stuffed a little animal in each bag.
Each bag had a personalized message. I made my own cards and printed them out to put them in each bag.
